Contractors All Risks (also known as contract works) Insurance
Contractors All Risks covers a building or unfinished project, during the process before it becomes complete, potentially from being a bare patch of ground through to the finished article. Normal buildings cover will not provide anything more than the most basic of covers for even an existing building during alterations, repairs, or an extension, it will certainly not cover a project that is half way through, hence contract works cover.
It literally covers the work you have already done under the contract and the materials used, along with the associated tools and liabilities, if required.
Contract works and plant insurance covers you for loss of, or damage to:
- contract works and materials
- your own plant, machinery and site huts
- hired-in plant
- The insurance is valid whilst your contract works or plant is:
- on the contract site
- in transit to or from the contract site
- temporarily stored elsewhere (such as materials yet to be used)
Plant is also covered at your premises if it's in a securely locked compound or elsewhere undergoing maintenance or repair.
What else can be covered?
